Wharf

Terminal wharf infrastructure will be as a concrete pier platform which is sustained by vertical concrete stake. The wharf position was project to obtain less effort of tides and currents when berthed vessels. The mooring points, defences, portic equipments, was project to transfer all cargoes in order to preserve the integrity of structures and guaranty the right absorption of external cargo.

Natural Deep

In the vicinities of the terminal, the Nautical Chart points out natural depths which may vary between 20 and 24 meters. Bay tides are the semi diurnal kind, which means that sea levels undergo two high and low peaks during one day. The variation of water levels in the syzygy tide (maximum) is 1,74m. in the Galheta island 2,O7m and in Cobras island. The Complex intends to adopt operational draughts between 14 and 17 meters and it is going to provide all necessary information to the Port Captain’s Office and DHN to grant its approval. The company owns in its grounds a pier for barge moorings which has been built by Construtora Toda do Brasil S/A in the 1980’s bearing moorings for barges frontward or either two barges moored simultaneously and perpendicularly projected for + 3 and - 4 average sea level. It also holds several facilities for product and equipment storage.
