Dredging
The maritime access area between the terminal and the Galheta Canal currently holds depths between 12,9 e 17 meters. This access area will require a small volume of dredging in order to lift its depth as to be able to grant permition to a 15-meter official load-draught.
In the docking berths it is intended to adopt operational load-draughts between 14 and 17 meters. Due to great natural depths in the terminal area and to the advanced platforms project, only the cleaning of the berths will be needed during the conclusion of the constructions.
Maintenance dredging is under the responsibility and charge of the local Port Authorities, against the payment of Inframar Port Tax.
